| Michelle Warren, M.D., September is National Menopause Awareness Month. Dr. Michelle P. Warren, Wyeth-Ayerst Professor of Women's Health at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and the founder and medical director of the Center for Menopause, Hormonal Disorders and Women's Health at Columbia University Medical Center, can discuss what women might expect both as they undergo the transition of menopause and in the years after menopause. Dr. Warren can also provide insights into recent controversies over hormone replacement therapy, as well as an overview of the best and most effective treatments for menopause's many discomforts. Over a lifetime of research and practice focusing on women''s health, Dr. Warren has written numerous articles and textbook chapters about menopause and lectures extensively on the subject. Featured as one of the “Best Doctors in America” (2004-2006)—and twice named one of New York Magazine's “Best Doctors in New York City”—she has been listed in the Castle Connolly Guide as one of the New York metropolitan area's top physicians since 1999.
